Mathew Richardson- Myotherapist

Mat graduated from RMIT university in 2002 and has worked in private practice in the hill’s ever since.  He was asked to lecture in anatomy at RMIT in his first year out of Uni. Mat has always kept up to date with the latest science and finding ways to integrate this into his clinical practice.  In 2015 Mat set up a networking group for health practitioners in the hills, this allows us at Tecoma Myotherapy to have a wide referral network.  In 2018 Mat presented at the Bendigo Pain Summit and now runs workshops for health practitioners and the general public.  Through his own experience through persistent pain Mat has a passion for helping people with complex pain conditions.

 

Pain Caoching- to help those that are stuck on their journey with chronic pain.

With Mat’s lived expericnce of chronic pain, Mat now is offering a Pain Caoch option to his bookings. In this mat will use more psycholigcal informed practice to help you get back to what you love inspite of pain. Mat has an extensive skill set with helping you make sense?, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, movement strategies and educational strategies.

Rebecca Bishop- Myotherapist

Rebecca has been working in the health industry for over 20 years, 15 years as a remedial massage therpaist and 6 years as a Myotherapist.Rebecca has completed her Diploma in Health Science – Massage Therapy, and in June 2016 completed her Ad dip Myotherapy. In 2003 Rebecca completed a Mother care massage course after realising the benefits she received from treatments during her own pregnancies. In 2009 Rebecca completed a course in Chiball – Practical Intensive Teacher Training, a method that focuses on Chinese philosophies and practices, integrating them into a healing movement. Rebecca spent 12 months teaching at Shellharbour TAFE in the Health department, and was also a volunteer with St John Ambulance in Wollongong.

 

 

 


Katie Bergroth- Remedial Massage Therapist 

Katie completed her Diploma in Remedial Massage in 2017 following the completion of her Bachelor of Exercise Science. 

Since the finishing her studies Katie has gained considerable experience working in both clinic settings as well as with a variety of professional athletes and sports teams. Most recently Katie has worked with the Australian Test Cricket team, the Western Bulldogs Football Club and the Melbourne Storm. Whilst Katie is passionate about working with athletes of all levels she also has a strong interest in treating people from all walks of life including people experiencing chronic pain and chronic illnesses and people with disabilities. In addition to being a Remedial Massage Therapist Katie also works as a Disability Support Worker and Sports Trainer.  

 

 


Zarli VandenBerg- Myotherapist

 

Zarli is set to graduate her Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy in August 2023 at Melbourne Institute of Massage and Myotherapy. She has also completed a Sports Trainer Level One certificate with Sports Medicine Australia. She is currently working with multiple professional sporting clubs including A-League Men’s and Women’s club Melbourne Victory and NBL men’s team South East Melbourne Phoenix. Outside of work Zarli is a passionate soccer player and coach and particularly enjoys treating athletes as well as the general public
